    30 Days (TV show)

I managed to catch this show and it's pretty good. The guy that made Super Size me came up with a show where he (and sometimes his fianc?) live a certain lifestyle for 30 days.

Right now they are trying to live on minimum wage for 30 days to show how hard it really is. There have been a bunch of different things they've done.

He lived with a mixed status (immigration) family for a month to see the fear they live with over deportation, and also spent 30 days in jail to show what life is like on the inside. Great concepts to show people what else other people experience in life.

It was on FX here. They ran a marathon last night but a new season should be out soon. They had a straight, Christian, military guy live in the gayest part of San Francisco with a gay man. (SF is the gayest place on earth for those who don't know) He really learned alot about how he held alot of stereotypes and learned to accept these people regardless of their sexual orientation. He was very "gay = sin" at the start. After most of the show his gay roommate asked him about gays in the military and he was against it. He then asked what if I were in your unit? He then saw how he was comfortable with the gay guy because he knew him and they were friends and started to realize that he needed to re-evaluate.

Very good show. I liked this one because the guy had so many beliefs that ended up being contradictory to what he experienced and he was able to re-evaluate and change his way of thinking without totally changing his beliefs.
