    The Not-So-Current Hits You Like

Since I'm growing older (!!) I've come to realise that the best music has already been made.

This thread is for the music you still listen to and that still rocks (or pops, if you're into such things).

Damn straight! I turn 35 in a couple of weeks and I too have noticed alot of the "newer" music is just churned out en mass, and doesn't have any staying power. There are exceptions to the rule of course but not many.
NoMeansNo just played in Vancouver last night... Missed it

Drummers who are lead singers... not a very common combo.

Satanic Surfers, one of my favourite bands from the 90's. They haven't aged very well (not much from the so called "skate punk era" have) but some songs still kick ***.

Edit: Yes! It does indeed kick three little asterisks!

I'd take an Eddie Vedder sound-a-like over some whiney-a$$-punk-wannabe any day
On that note, here's a great band from the early 90's.

It's time to go back to 1994 now. A time when I used to love the Manics.
And then they became old and boring...

The Smiths - There is a light that never goes out

One of the best songs of the 80's, at least in my small world.
