    Great Covers

Covers are generally the work of satan (and I don't mean that in a good way) but sometimes something great comes out of covering an old song.

This is the thread for those rare occasions when the cover version becomes a song of it's own and not just a cash-in.

I'll start with the song Diane, originally by H?sker D? and later covered by Therapy?

    Cover:

    Original:

(and I love both versions of this song by the way)

Ummm.. Ryan. The thread titles clearly states GREAT covers. I don't know what tards you dug up, but that's the lamest band I've ever heard

Now. I normally can't stand this band. Every one of their songs drive me nuts. And the band they're covering, although historically significant to music and adored by many, I never really got into. The song is from a movie called 'Control'. The story of Ian Curtis, lead singer of the band Joy Division.

I'm not to crazy about Dave. I've heard enough of him, and I've seen him live. The people at the show were far more interesting than he was 'Crash' is a good song though.

Did you listen to the songs? Or read the text?? Not to be a so-and-so, but haven't you ever heard 'All Along the Watchtower' by Jimmy Hendrix??

We're talkin' music covers Bud. Not Album covers
