Do you feel that Smith will be able to help Furniture Row improve a lot?

Wait...what? I thought he was confirmed for DEI/Ganassi. What in the world happened? So who's driving the 41?

No, Furniture Row did pretty well with Kenny Wallace and Joe Nemechek. I mean with Wallace and Nemechek they qualified for a good majority of the races. However, if the money isn't there (and it isn't for Furniture), it wont really make much of a difference

This situation is similar to Front Row Motorsports back in i think 2006 with Kevin Lepage. Lepage qualified for about 85% of the races and even finished 8th in the Daytona 500. But the year after that the team completely failed because of poor financing and Lepage didn't qualify for a single race.

Furniture and FRM are different yes, but imo they're in the same sinking boat

Lizard, it appears for now the #41 car is vacant. I believe Montoya will pick up the Target sponsorship for the #42 car. It just gets crazier and crazier.

The Bobby Labonte news is the latest concerning him. It could change, dont forget, it has changed several times already but so far, at least 3 sources are stating this move in the #96 at Hall of Fame Racing.

As for Regan Smith at Furntiure Row, it cant hurt the team. However, he is set to only run a 12 race schedule including the Daytona 500. It just makes no sense to me how the rookie of the year last year with no DNF's cant land a full-time ride this year.

Ya, he should have been the first knocked out driver to land a full-ride

    Caution Periods Now Sponsored.

ServiceMaster Clean Inks Deal with ISC & SMI Race Tracks: ServiceMaster Clean announced that it has signed a unique partnership agreement to be the first-ever official sponsor of the caution period during races at International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated (SMI) race tracks across the nation. When there is a problem on the track, the ServiceMaster Clean Yellow Flag will wave, and the company?s familiar yellow trucks will be dispatched to clean the track. In racing, a yellow flag means cleaning. Restoration must be done quickly and professionally in order to get back to racing. In homes and businesses across North America, a yellow ServiceMaster Clean van means cleaning and restoration is being done quickly and professionally by America?s number one cleaning team. ServiceMaster Clean will have official and exclusive sponsorship of the Yellow Flag? now to be known as ServiceMaster Clean Caution periods ? at all 19 ISC and SMI race tracks around the country. These racetracks feature 31 Sprint Cup, 24 Nationwide and 17 Camping World Truck Series races and hundreds of other racing events. In fact, there will hardly be a race for the next five years where ServiceMaster Clean does not have a large presence. All cleaning and drying vehicles and equipment will feature the ServiceMaster Clean logo and colors, and the clean-up teams will wear bright yellow ServiceMaster Clean jumpsuits. The multi-year agreement is not limited to what happens on the track, but also includes national coverage on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Performance Racing Network (PRN), hospitality events for franchise owners, the right to create and sell promotional merchandise and a host of other marketing opportunities designed to generate consistent visibility.(C4 Explosive Communications PR)(1-16-2009).

Watch them throw the yellow at record pace just for advertisement!

I actually dont understand why the fact that NASCAR has a lot of cautions is such a big deal.

    1. It always brings the field closer
    2. Cautions always change pit and tire strategies and it's always fun to see who's gamble played off and who at the last minute chance their strategies
    3. Cautions help to stop one guy from leading the entire race (after all oval racing is about competition instead of driving on a difficult course )
    4. Cautions aren't exactly random as any small shread of debris would send the car flying into the wall and since ovals doesn't exactly have sand pits or runoff areas more cautions are needed. Anybody who knows anything about motorsports would know that
