It appears that AJ Allmendinger will be driving the #43 car for Richard Petty Motorsports. He is guaranteed to start the first 5 races and after that, it remains to be seen.

Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing will run three full- time cars during the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, team officials confirmed. Juan Pablo Montoya will drive the team's No.42 car with new sponsorship from Target.

Martin Truex, Jr. will be behind the wheel of the No.1 car with Bass Pro Shops backing the team's efforts this year

Aric Almirola will be in the No.8 car; however, sponsorship for that team has not been finalized.
