There's been a lot of discussion over the years, not only about the length of the race season itself, but the individual length of races. Should 500 mile races be reduced to 300, for example? What do you think?

I think the races are fine how they are and people need to leave them alone. When stuff starts being messed with and things are changed that is usually when things start going bad.
I don't think that the season or the races are too long. If you shorten the races you could alter the outcome by a lot if you had somebody coming up from the back for a win.
I agree that the races are just right. I do tend to get a little bored watching them on TV, but in person I would not want them changed at all. I'm with keeping them the same.
Races are not only about speed but also about the endurance of the machine and the stamina of the driver. So this might be the reason why races are too long.
I think I'd agree with those who feel that the length is about right. I guess that's a "purist" opinion?
I think it's interesting with more laps, requiring more attention to fuel and tires, etc.
Looks like we're all pretty much in agreement. I don't really like the short races as much as I do the longer ones. I would hate to see them messed with at all.
