    Big Changes Coming?

Rumor has it NASCAR is changing the COT car, taking off that ugly thing in back and replacing it with a spoiler. They reportedly are ditching the no-pass zones at Daytona and Dega. Interesting!

That is interesting. I love it when they change up the racetracks or their rules at the tracks. I wonder how long before the drivers get notified?

Do you think the drivers will like the no-pass zone rule change?

Heck yes. They want to be able to race. The fewer restrictions the better. In fact, one of the reasons for the possible change from the rear wing to a spoiler is that last week, NASCAR did some testing. They talked to 14 drivers after those tests. Every single one of them said -- get rid of the spoiler, that it impedes their ability to be competitive. I'm guessing they talked with 14 of the biggies and listened.

I can imagine that being the case. I also wonder how much some drivers may use a rule like the no-pass zones as part of their strategy?
