    Bump-drafting rules?

Wow, I just read an article saying that Nascar has loosened the rules for the 2010 season. They are getting rid of the bump-draft rule... You can now bump another driver.

Wow, this will change things up I'm sure. Do you think there will be more accidents?

That's correct. They want to make the fans happy and the fans want action. Apparently, they are also going to lighten up on the old revenge rules. What they won't loosen up with are the events on Pit Road where others are at rick.

I think all the new rule changes and the changes to the cars will make the races more interesting. But the question is, will the changes in the cars, that the drivers are saying will make them easier to control, balance out this elimination of the bump-draft rule at the superspeedways.

What kinds of changes in the cars are there? I must have missed that one. I hope they make them easier to drive and less likely to cause accidents.

I can't wait to see more bumping- as long as it is controlled bumping!

While this will make the races more interesting, I really hope we don't see a lot more serious accidents. It's one thing to see the drivers making risky moves to get ahead. It's another thing entirely when a tragedy occurs.

The cars are still safe. NASCAR won't backtrack on that too much. The spoiler will be gone in favor of the wing so the guys can see out the back a bit more again. I do think there will be more accidents because of bump drafting. Some guys just don't know how to draft.

Seeing out the back window is a good thing! I'm glad they are changing the design of the car to make it better for the drivers.

I know some drivers are good at drafting, but I'm sure others will try to hot dog to pass and bump too hard.

There will definitely be more hot dogging in the races and that will make it more interesting. Accidents are going to increase. I just don't want to witness any serious ones.
