Danica Patrick Announces 12-Race Nascar Schedule

Anyone catch this today, seems she is going to attempt at least a dozen. I wonder how well that is going to come over.

“We want to give Danica the best opportunity to compete at Daytona, and that includes making sure she is 100 percent comfortable in that driver’s seat,”

Why does that last part scare me a little, if she is not comfy shouldn't that be something everyone knew about before now?

I would think she is comfortable and they are just saying that to have something to say! I bet she didn't tell them that!
I'm excited to see her break into Nascar. I can't wait to watch her in the trials.

Saying that also seems like it gives them an out if Danica does not live up to the hype. Then they could just come back and say Danica never really felt "comfortable in the drivers seat".

I understand, creg, what you're saying-- and it does make me semi-nervous. I agree though with what the others are saying about how a good part of it is probably a setup in case she does poorly in NASCAR.

I wonder if she even knew how it was going to be wrote up? I would rather know that what I am reading comes from the persons mouth but what about media spin?

I have not seen Danica yet. Although I have to admit I have not be really watching for her a lot. Has she raced yet in Nascar? I looked her up in the points and can't find her.
