Out of curiousity, with Nascar using plenty of gasoline, tires, energy, etc., have they ever made any efforts at "going green"? I know it sounds silly, but I do think that they have many opportunities to do so!
This is really interesting to see if they have accomplished this but I can't see it happening now or in the future. Unless you can make a tire that is not made of rubber then this is impossible to do.
They could make such a statement here. There are so many Nascar fans that would follow their ideas. Maybe they could not go green completely, but maybe slightly?

Exactly what I'm thinking; I don't expect them to start racing on used vegetable oil or holding the races by firelight instead of using stadium lighting (though I do think it would look cool), but just small things here and there to reduce how much trash is sent to the dump after the races or something like that would be nice to see.
