    new spoilers and no issues

I thought I remembered someone from the last season saying that without having any issues up front before the races, its kind of like bad luck. To the point that having an issue up front gives better reason to be at ease come race time. Could this be a jinx of sorts?

It's all psychological, in my opinion. Participants in every sport have their superstitions, and to some if something seems "too good to be true," (such as having no pre-race problems) then it probably is. People are used to things not going perfectly...so when they do, they get nervous.

I totally agree that it's all in their head on this one. It like this in everyday life. If I don't dribble the ball 3 times I'll miss the foul shot. I think the athletes talk themselves right into going bad.

I think luck is what you make of it and we have all seen some of the races and even other sporting deals where people say so and so got lucky. How so? I still think it boils down to the talent you have and what you are willing to put through in order to get the job done.

I do believe you have to have talent, but when it comes to racing a car top speeds, I feel luck has to be on you side. There are so many close call accidents and nobody can explain why?

Decision making has a lot to do in winning a race. If the driver came too early in a pit then it would lose some time. Or if he failed to accelerate or made a wrong brake then it would cost him the first place.

Luck also has great impact on racing. The drivers all have lucks but it depends on when it comes to them.
