    Catch cans going away?

In the truck series, there is no longer a catch can. That's one of the fuel guys. That's because they have a new, better, more fuel efficient way of getting gas into the trucks.

Rumor is that NASCAR is considering bringing this to the Cup level and Nationwide series next year. It's one less man over the wall, but I'm for anything that is fuel efficient.

It is a good idea if it is fuel efficient and helps save the environment. Unfortunately when new technology comes out and things become automated jobs are eliminated. Really, what could the guy do that held the catch can? Lol! Just kidding!

NASCAR has made a lot of cutbacks in the last couple of years. There's probably something else those guys could do. I remember last year Jeff Gordon and some other drivers actually took paycuts to save members of their team at the shop level from being laid off.

I guess the recession hit everybody. Who would of thought it would hit NASCAR as well. Maybe ticket sales were down? Technology is great, until it starts cutting jobs.
