    Stewart Takes the Blame

For the first time in about 3 years, I didn't watch the end of Monday's race. I was too bummed and upset. That race was Jeff's to win. He had it in the bag and then Tony got loose and caused a 9 car accident. At least he took the blame and he says that he and Jeff talked and all is well.

Now as for Jeff and JJ, well, no word, but for some crazy reason, Jeff likes the ... guy ... <cough>, so I suspect all will be well there, too.

Awww.... Poor JJ. I don't have anything against Jimmie. I actually think he seems nice and I am a small fan. I guess everyone has their haters! I know I've got mine!

Well at least he admitted it and apologized. Stewart back in the day would have just had a nice little comeback prepared. He really has had to curb his temper and settle down the last couple of years.

I still think it's funny that he's Jeff's teammate now. Tony's mellowed a lot. He's a better teammate to Jeff than JJ has ever been. JJ lives to beat Jeff. It wouldn't be bad except that he's very cocky about it and he doesn't race Jeff like a teammate and rarely has whereas Jeff has been the exact opposite.

I used to not be able to stand Tony Stewart even though he was a good driver because he had such a bad attitude. He really has calmed down a lot.

He made a conscious effort at it, too. He apparently moved back to his hometown and has found some peace there. He still has his moments, but that's just being human.

No matter what its about a bad attitude can leave many people off being a fan and I feel the same way. Any bad attitude ends up being just a little more than most can take. How do you respect someone who does decent but has such a negative effect on almost everything?
gak! work is just wrong in so many ways...

I basically agree. I also feel that people can change, though, and if they manage to grow up, they are worthy for the respect for that. Kurt Busch is a prime example. He went from supreme idiot to an okay guy. He grew up. A few years ago, I couldn't stand the guy; he was an idiot. He's reformed. I have to give him credit for that. I've even rooted for him once or twice when Jeff was out of the running.
