    Penske Nabs Shell/Penzoil

Penske Racing is making some big changes next year. They lured Shell/Penzoil away from RCR for sponsorship, meaning Kurt Busch is going to drive the new #22 car with that sponsorship. Brad Keselowski will take over the Miller Lite #2 car.

That leaves RCR looking for a big sponsor and still trying to resign Kevin Harvick. Penske has no such worries as they also resigned Kurt for a multi-year extension of his contract.

I am sure they will have no trouble finding sponsorships especially with the economy slowly but surely getting better. I hate when everyone starts changing cars and sponsors because I forget and when I see them in the new car I don't know who it is lol!

Ah, but that's part of racing. People change positions all the time. I read something the other day that said 'whatever happened to silly season?'. It's gone away because of the frequency of changes now.

If you can not keep up with the changes, you are in the wrong industry. We have gotten used to it as spectators but I am sure some of those who do not have a real passion for the sport might beef a little about it but its either ship up and follow the flow or ship out, right?
gak! work is just wrong in so many ways...

It's just a mirror image of life. Sports wise, baseball is the same thing. Guys used to spend lifetimes with a team until free agency came along. Every day folks used to work entire careers with the same company; I saw that slip to 7 years per company. I think now it's down to 3 years or something and that's considered acceptable.
