    Poor Jeff

I tell ya, I couldn't watch. At one point I even turned off the volume. Then I looked away. I just couldn't bare it. I'm speaking of tonight's race at Richmond. Jeff Gordon ended up 2nd -- again. Man, he had the lead. This is about the 4th time this year that with just laps to go, a caution has come out and he's the lost the race.

    I am sooooo bummed!

I am sure my dad is too as he pulls for Gordon. It sure seems like he isn't doing as good as he did when he first started whether bad luck or whatnot. It used to be he was in the spotlight a great deal more now all the young guns have taken over.

Actually, Vroom, the commentators last night were saying that Jeff's popularity has actually increased. They also said he gained fans last week because of his aggressiveness. I don't know. Popularity wise, he's usually considered #2 with Jr. being #1.

Maybe he's getting old....He's already what, like 50, i think? At what age do most racers retire? He's been racing for a long time....maybe he's lost his touch...

50? Are you insane? LOL Ah, no, not even close. Mark Martin is the over 50 driver. The babies are in their 20's and the vets like Jeff are in their 30's.

I was about to say I am relatively certain that Jeff Gordon is around my age and I just turned 30 this year. I remember us talking a few years back about what it would be like to have that kind of fame and fortune so young (this was maybe 5 years ago) so no he isn't even close to 50.
