    German Formula 3

I was wondering what is the duration of the race in the German F3?

    Thanks,

They seem to race for about 25 minutes per race. With two races per weekend.

So I'm guessing it's 30 minutes at maximum.

Yea, that's true. Usually the winner finishes the race in about 25 minutes. I'm not sure though if there's a maximum limit like the two hour rule in F1

Yeah, I just looked at their homepage and it says "Renndauer:jeweils 25 Minuten". No mention of a limit.

I just assumed they had one as I'm pretty sure they have one in British F3 as incindent filled races where they've been behind the pace car for several laps sometimes get flagged off before all laps are completed. Perhaps they run a tighter schedule or something.

    Thanks a lot,

I wanted to compare it with Star Mazda USA which they have one race each round that last 45 minutes, also Champ Car Atlantic has the same duration.

I think it's too much, but I like the idea of one race per round.

speaking of the German F3, how is it compared to other F3 series', such as the British and European?

How competitive is it? how is the international media coverage?
Are there large interest in the drivers by international professional teams?

    Thanks a lot,
    Fahad

The German F3 championship seems to be quite competitive. It's certainly not quite up there compared to the Euroseries but I think quite a few names from this year's German F3 series wouldn't make fools of themselves in the Euroseries or the British series. Nico H?lkenberg and Ho Pin Tung have shown in A1GP that they are top racers. The British series hasn't really had big fields lately but there is still a lot of prestige in being British F3 champ from back in the glory days. And the British champion Mike Comway did end up winning the Macau GP.

The German series seem to be a good choice for people who aren't made of Euro F3 money.

Oh... and then there's the Spanish F3 series which seems to cost even less. And the Spanish GP2 teams seems to like drivers from that series.
