According to Driverdb.com this driver raced in Skip Barber National Championship and Formula Renault USA at the age of 12
Isn't he the youngest ever to race a single seater car?

He's not in Atlantics this year (I think he may have been dropped from the Red Bull program?). He did make an appearance at Miller Motorsports Park in Star Mazda and won the race comfortably from pole.

And to answer my own question after a little bit of research, he is indeed not a part of the Red Bull Junior Team this year. The only North American left is Canadian Robert Wickens, who has had a extremely horrid World Series season start. Hopefully his speed will start to show in the points as well and not only in the practice sessions.

So what is Edwards doing now? And how can he legally race at 12 years of age?![]()
It hasn't been confirmed but I expect him to run the remainder of the Star Mazda Championship.

Edwards committed to run the remaining Star Mazda events with Aim Autosport today. Most likely a wise decision for the young pilot despite it being a slight step backwards.

That is fairly impressive.
Do you count Formula First and Formula Ford? i no they are single seaters but not wings and slicks.
I say this as i believe in New Zealand Scott Dixon, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber were about 11 when they were driving round in Formula First and 12 when they were in Formula Ford.
Driverdb will have to jump in on this one as I don't have the history on those drivers. As far as Edwards... not only was he a licensed single seater at 12, he also won a Skip Barber race at age 12 in the rain. After Red Bull took him to Europe, he become the youngest driver to receive an FIA license (Grade B).
