    Open wheel speculation for 2009

    Rumours say that:

    -Valtteri Bottas is the numero uno prospect for ART-team for next years F3 Euro-series. Formula BMW-driver Marco Wittmann is number two on the wishlist. Jules Bianchi will continue driving for the team also on next year.

    -Juho Annala is collecting budget to race in Indycar for season 2009. He has offers on the table from few teams.

    -Valle M?kel? is going to drive Star Mazda in states, perhaps for whole season.

    -Atte Mustonen and Mikhail Aleshin are going for GP2 and also to same team. Their main sponsor, Russian oil enterprise Lukoil is going to offer them as one package for some team.

    -Karun Chandhok is going to race both series with iSport in GP2.

    -Bruno Senna is going to participate GP2 Asia series China's GP to learn the Shanghai track for next years F1 season.

    -Hamad Al-Fardan has made a deal with iSport GP2 Asia

    -Luca Filippi will move back to Super Nova. He's teamie will most likely be either Nico Huelkenberg or Michael Ammermueller. Both of them are managed by Willi Weber, who has ran Germanys A1GP team with David Sears, a team manager from Super Nova. Nico's other option is to race with ART team and Ammenmuller might race for Trident.

    -Romain Grosjean will continue to racing for ART team in GP2. Kamui Kobayashi and Sebastian Buemi are linked to speculation for he's teamie.

    -Mika M?ki will race for Arden in GP2.

    -Harald Schlegelmilch will race for Trident ja Vitaly Petrov for Campos.

    -Racing Steps Foundation will get Oliver Turvey to GP2

    -Armaan Ebrahim, Hiroki Yoshimoto amd Fairuz Fauzy are joining the GP2 Asia

    -Giedo Van Der Garde who is owning the Renaultin World Series at the moment is looking for team spot in GP2 for 2009.

    -Thor-Christian Ebbesvik who competes in Spain's F3 series will test 5 different GP2 teams at the end of the season and he is looking for a seat for next year. Female driver Natacha Gachnang from the same series is having negotiations with Campos.

    -Jaime Alguersuari will race for Racing Engineering because sponsor Repsol want's so.

    -Mike Conway and Anthony Davidson are looking for Indycars. Both drivers have tested with Panther. Also Vitor Meira and Dillon Batistini would want to drive for the team.

    -Robert Doornbos has made a contract with Rahal-Letterman for season 2009.

    -Andretti-Green Racing is preparing 5th car for Indy and it's going to be driven by frenchman Franck Montagny.

    -Markus Niemel? is not going to extend his career in Northern America and is coming back to Europe and possibly to GP2.

    -Henri Karjalainen is going to switch teams in Formula Atlantic.

    -Brendon Hartley will race in F3 Euroseries for team Mueck.

    -Jesse Krohn will race for full season in English Formula Renault in team CR Scuderia.

    -Female driver Emma Kimil?inen will race in F3 Euroseries in 2009.

    -Japanese F3-series champion Carlo Van Dam will compete in Formula Nippon.

    -Mika V?h?m?ki will race full season in Germany's F3-series with Alan Docking Racing Finland team.

    -Daniel Juncadella is sponsored by Red Bull and will race in Formula Renault's.

    -Adrien Tambay and Esteban Gutierrez will race in English F3.

    -Chris Van Der Drift is heading to F3 series in Japan.

    -Daniel Ricciardo and Andrea Caldarelli are racing in F3 Euro-series.

    Valle Makela will make his Star Mazda debut this weekend, driving for Anderson Racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park. We should see him run Road Atlanta and/or Laguna Seca as well later this year.

    Trident Racing have stated publically they want him for GP2 Main series so i doubt he will give that opportunity up for F3

    Agreed Japan F3 would seem a backward step especially if a GP2 drive is in the opping also A1GP drive in Black Beauty awaits

    Chris made some huge improvements in the tests with Trident at Paul Ricard, completing the final two sessions in the top 5. He did exactly what he set out to do and I think he will do quite well in GP2.
