Josef Newgarden, Team USA Scholarship driver, became the first American to win the prestigious Formula Ford Festival earlier today at Brands Hatch. Fellow Team USA scholarship driver, Conor Daly managed to finish sixth in the final after battling throttle cable issues in both heat races.

Congrats to both on a great run this weekend. The duo drove in the Kent category for Cliff Dempsey Racing. Team owner Cliff Dempsey is the father of Star Mazda driver Peter Dempsey.

The American duo will head to Silverstone next month for the world's largest Formula Ford race; Walter Hayes Trophy.
