That's not a bad idea, but the last thing I want on here is some toolshed posting or bragging about his street racing. We gotta keep it on the track. Except in the case of rock crawlers at Moab or Rubicon, Dakar, Mud boggers, yada yada. That's a very good idea.
We could put a "Dragsters" in the World Racing Arena couldn't we? There are a lot of people who build cars and take them to the quarter mile. Pro's and Joe's alike. We have a 1/8 mile little strip here.
I think sticking to an NHRA pro racing only discussion is best. That or nothing. I agree about not wanting every clown with a car trying to trash talk about how bad a** his ricer or blown 350 is. It's not like you're special cuz if you were you'd be pro. I know my Impala SS was fast but not 322mph. fast.
I still think that an other or just tossing NHRA on the end of the NASCAR section description is a better fit.

Has anyone here been to a top fuel event live? It's ridiculous. I used to go as a kid and went a few years ago. It's the loudest thing ever. You HAVE to have ear plugs. When the cars take off it's the most awsome feeling. The power is so much you vibrate so bad you can't see. I can't describe it. If you've never been go. Just make sure it's a TOP FUEL event. The other drag racing classes are ok but nothing close.

Hello Fellow NHRA fans!
There are new videos on YouTube featuring Top Fuel driver Cory McClenathan, Funny Car Driver Tony Pedregon and Autolite's Motorsports Engineer Don Ward that include great tips, tidbits and advice for us, motorsports enthusiasts.
Check out the videos here: http://www.youtube.com/autolitesparkplugs.
In one video, Cory Mac talks about burning through 100 spark plugs in a weekend and how plugs help generate the 8000 horsepower needed to push the dragster down the strip.
Another video features Autolite?s motorsports engineer, Don Ward, giving an overview of some of the plugs available for everyday vehicles as well as the specialty plugs designed for the track.
It turns out that Autolite plugs are used by 75 to 80 percent of NHRA drivers today!
Let me know what you think...

As much as I appreciate a blown small block, there's really only so much you can say about drag racing: "Yup, the car went straight, and it was fast. Even faster than the other guy."
I would like to see a drag racing section here. The guys at Speed Sport Life went out and did an E.T. Bracket race and wrote up a pretty cool "How-to" story on it here:
