Thread: First Race for HMSA Historic Modsports,Thundersaloons,Special Saloons and Silouettes

GREAT NEWS.
The HMSA Historic Modsports and Saloon Association have their first race at Mallory Park July 5th 2009.
All Entries are welcome if you have a pre 1982 Modsports,Thundersaloon,Special Saloon or Silouette.
You are eligible to have Race tyres,Space Frames,Historic or Modern type engines and gearboxes.
So at last we will be able to enter our Special Saloon in a shakedown race after many years gathering dust.

The organising club is the Morgan Sports Car Club who have invited the HMSA to have their own race for these awesome,fast cars.
Regs will be available in April 2009.
Race entry will cost £165,National B Race Licence holders.
The race title will be called the HMSA Historic Modsports and Saloons.

A full blown Race Championship is expected for 2010 at circuits all over the UK,so the HMSA need you to enter this fun race day at Mallory Park in July.

Some very quick cars are expected such as the mighty Ford and Vauxhall Thundersaloons,Special Saloon Skodas,Fords,Imps,Minis,Jaguars and the awesome Modsports Lotus Elans,Turners,Elvas,Ginetta,MG,TVR,TR,Aston Martins,AC Cobras and many more.

This will be a spectacular National grassroots series,race with them and have fun,it will be nice to compare our car against the others.

See you at the HMSA Historic Race Car event to be held at Mallory Park July 5th 2009.
We will be entering our Special Saloon Ford Escort,Ex Wendy Wools.

I wonder how many other Historic Race Cars,Thundersaloons,Modsports and Special Saloons are going to enter this first HMSA shakedown race in July at Mallory Park.
It would be nice to see a full grid and we will guarantee the spectators will love to see these cars out racing again.

There is a lot of Media attention about the types of cars the HMSA is attracting.
