    Remote car racing

I started playing remote cars recently. It is really enjoyable; too bad I didn't find it earlier. I like the idea that you will keep safe regardless how bad your car crashes in an accident.

Do you also play remote cars? Is there any remote car racing held internationally?

I used to see a club of remote control racecar drivers gathering at a park nearby me every other weekend or so; they always had really cool customized cars, and I was always so impressed with their ability to control them at the speeds the cars were going at!

I had one of these when I was younger, and my friends son has a couple of them now. They are pretty cool.
Come to think of it, at the local theme park there is a remote control race track. Do you have a theme park near you? Wouldn't hurt to look there.

I know some people that are into building high end robots and I am still trying to get them to build me a super car. I did this growing up a ton but I have forgotten most of it not.

No, I never have done remote car racing, but I have seen it done and it sure does look like fun. I've seen it on TV as well.

I don't think I've even seen two guys with remote cars in a parking lot, but I'd love to see an organized race.

I always liked the idea of slots, and I think this is the next step up from that. You could mount cameras on them and make it even more interesting.

Cameras! Kumar, that's a great idea to mount (micro) cameras on the remote cars. I think it will be thrilling to see the film shot by those cameras.

I have seen several RC cars in YouTube with cameras attached on each car. When you are watching these small cars, it seems that they have drivers inside because they run like real cars.

I'm not lucky enough to see an RC car race in my location but I love watching these little cars go on YouTube.

I also had an RC car when I was little but that was a very long time ago. Thanks for this thread because I might buy me an RC car after I receive my salary.

I'll have to look for those videos on YouTube.

And I think it would also be interesting to have a demolition derby with those. Maybe that would be more interesting if the bodies were made of something a little less durable than hard plastic, so it would be more like the real derbies?

This would be so much fun! I haven't ever heard of it before, but it just sounds like it would be a good time. I wonder if they have them in my area. I like that they're safer than race car driving.
