    Race next weekend

The drive to Winston-Salem isn't too bad from my house. I'm considering going to the "Madhouse" reality series race next weekend. Am I crazy addicted or what?

I would go if it was a few hours drive from my house and I had the extra money. I love watching racing on TV but it is a whole new experience going to one and watching it live. I haven't been in a couple of years.

I never really been to a race either. I think id like to go to an F1 race as opposed to a Nascar one

I thought about that myself but I could actually see the point in going to both, but for me I would opt for F1 first. For some reason the older I get the more I think Nascar is a little more rowdy than F1, not that I mind but you know, now I would be bringing kids too.

I've been to a number different races over the years, the last one being a NASCAR race in Phoenix, I'm not a big NASCAR fan but thought it might be fun to be in the stands, I was not disappointed, it was a lot of fun and there was no rowdiness, that factor probably has more to do with the location than the kind of racing, if security is lax or non existent, add a booze factor and it could get out of hand no matter the venue.
Just make sure you bring earplugs, otherwise I doubt you will last the whole race, if its NASCAR and probably F1 as well (its been decades since I've heard an F1 engine at full scream live). Other series might have a maximum decibel level and have some kind of a muffler. Turbos tend to muffle the exhaust sound a bit as well.

So it's not going to work out after all. This weekend is too busy with family plans. I'd like to make it there soon though as I really like the show and think it would be cool to see it in person.
