    Who watches drag boat racing?

Does anybody watch drag boat racing? Everybody I know says they won't watch it because it's extremely dangerous. I think it's kind of cool though. What does everybody else think?

Drag Boat Racing? I've never even heard of it. I had no idea they had such a thing. Is it ever on TV? Sounds almost like it's an extreme sport or something.

The only thing I like about water sports, is when it floats in neat little cubes in my scotch

I have never heard of drag boat racing but I have watched boat races. They are exciting to watch but boy when those guys wreck it is spectacular!

yeah. I've seen it on tv a couple times, not very often though. It's extremely dangerous though because they are going like 200+ mph and if they hit a wave or anything they flip over and the boat gets like ripped to shreds. Like this:

This is also a pretty crazy crash, except this one seems a lot less dangerous than the other crash because the boat didn't seem to be totally destroyed like in the first one. But the flying part seems fun

Maybe I have seen this and didn't know the name for it. I have seen some boat racing which is ultra dangerous like this. However, it was years ago when I saw it.

My husband watches this on occasion. It does seem like a very dangerous sport. I definitely wouldn't want to see this type of race live, because it seems there is always a crash in every one.

I think for the people that do go, they go FOR the crashes...Because I mean....the whole thing is basically crashes....I'm surprised it hasn't been banned or anything yet, because so many people die in the races...I like it and all, but I don't think it should be legal...

The fact that these boats are built so light weight for speed is one of the things that makes them collapsible. The fact that the boat does just seem to break away has probably saved more victims than killed them.
