Other than the quarter million euros, what's holding you back?

Are you under contract for a while? Couldn't you get some sort of financial backing from sponsors you already have??

We'd like you to race in it too, that way, we can watch you on TV

I'm not sure if that cost number refers to the amount teams spend over the year or the amount required by a driver/sponsor to get a seat.

The problem for Fahad is, Salty, that his sponsors are probably Mid-Eastern based, and Marketing in North America has little return for that cost.

I also would love that kind of opportunity.

PS, Is that the actual Richie Hearn?

I am not willing to travel around 20 times during the season from Europe to the USA. If I want to race in the US, I want to settle in. Traveling between the states is enough trouble.

I am considering to move to the US for racing, but not soon.

Ryan is also right, but later we can target Middle Eastern companies that want exposure in the USA.

I still want to do a race or two there in the summer

This seems to be the budget for a driver to race a full season, it might include few testing and coaching.

I think this thread is by Richie Hearn himself, we have an IRL driver in the forum

Yes it is the "real Richie Hearn", for what ever that is worth. LOL. That budget is to buy the seat and includes 7 days of testing and a new motor for the first race. The only thing it doesn't include is crash damage.
