Bring back these lovelly super quick Modsports and Super Saloons of the 1960s to early 1980s.

We need these cars and their experienced owner race drivers to entertain the crowds again,it drives me mad when I hear of invited drivers to Goodwood Revival bragging they raced when in actual fact they paraded around the circuit to show their cars off to the crowd instead of racing to win, either class or overall.

There is a small percentage of drivers who go out to compete at Historic Race Meetings in whatever the car is and I respect and love that, the others are more concerned about getting the car around the circuit with manicured nails at Five Tenths. Most of the racers I know and race with get their own hands dirty rebuilding their engines overnight between races and if they have a service crew its all hands on board.

I do realise that many of these chaps and ladies love their cars so much (as we all do) they enter just for the feel for the weekend.so if they dont wish to race properly they should enter into Concours D,Elegance Shows instead.

I love competing at Goodwood,Silverstone even little old Lydden and the feedback we get from the spectators are they are bored and they want to see Hairy race machines driven to the limit by no compromising idividualistic racers.

Keep racing to the Racers.(sorry for rant)
