    Raceway Park

I just wanted to make a post about this place called Raceway Park. I used to go there as a child, see the following URL: http://www.racewaypark.com/.

They had all sorts of races, drag to funny cars and so on. Great food, plus a wildly entertaining 'half-time' show... usually they had someone blow themselves up in a car or had somebody jump a few cars. It was really fun.

Anyone got a place like this near them?

Yes, in Indianapolis, we have O'Reilly Raceway Park, formerly Indianapolis Raceway Park. It has a drag strip, oval, and road course on the facility.

Napierville here. Never was a fan except for the car shows, mostly for the girls and not the cars

I used to race at a track called Mosport. Mosport held f1 races in the 60's and 70's, and it had an Oval next to it for Saturday night craziness.

I never saw any of the racing, but remember seeing the stock cars arriving at the track late Saturday afternoon, we would usually just be finishing a day of testing when they showed up.
