    WRC in Corsica 2007

    Tour de Corsa has started.

Suzuki is doing their debut in WRC series here with one car. It looks very nimble but they are taking this rally mostly as an opportunity to test their ride. Loeb is favourite here no doubt, but you can't count Gr?nholm out at Corsica, he likes the tarmac suits him better than one in Catalunya. Sordo is also a tarmac specialist but as team orders are not illegal in WRC, it's more likely that Loeb is going to finish before him, if he doesn't DNF.

Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen had to stop the race at SS3 after making a mistake in fast corner and hitting a stone, causing his rear wheel to exterminate.

-It was a pace note error and I entered the bend too quickly. Said Hirvonen

Another interesting news is that Gr?nholm has told Autosport that he might attend some races in 2008.

    end of day 1

Loeb leads Gr?nholm by 27.5 seconds. Marcus said thats it's impossible to match Loeb's pace and he is trying to keep his 2nd position tomorrow. Battle for 3rd place is very hard. Sordo, Latvala and Solberg are in 9.4 second margin.

Yea it'll be hard for Gronholm to make up that gap unless something goes wrong with Loeb's car in the four stages remaining.

    It's a tight championship that's for sure

Loeb won and Gr?nholm was second, and his lead in the championship was reduced to 4 points. Finlands next 'ace' , young Jari-Matti Latvala was 4th in Stobart-Ford and that was a nice surprise.
