Thread: Dakar 2009 - MOTORCYCLIST KILLED

French motorcyclist Pascal Terry has been found dead during the Dakar Rally in Argentina. Terry, 49, had gone missing Sunday during the second stage of the race, between Santa Rosa and Puerto Madryn, organizers said in a statement. Terry was found early Wednesday in an area of dense vegetation, about 15 metres from his motorcycle, without his helmet and with food and water beside him.

even i had heard about this news some time ago and it really put me into a lot of shock..thats when i realized that how dangerous and risky this thing could be..i really wish condolence to his family and may his soul rest in peace..

It is really sad that in the modern era pitlots still die in this race. With all the modern equipement they still can't save the lives of the pilots. Hopefully security measures will become much better in the next years.
