    Countdown for Portugal

    starting April 2nd, this one is gravel all the way...


    Tyres
    The championship's control tyre regulations dictate the use of just one pattern for the majority of WRC events, and in Portugal Pirelli’s 205/65R15 hard compound Scorpion gravel tyre is the only one available.
    Each crew will have 46 tyres for the event. Competitors may carry two spares, but the 're-cutting' of tread patterns is not permitted.

    Local battle in prospect as teams test for Vodafone Rally de Portugal


     It looks like one of the biggest battles in this weekend?s Vodafone Rally de Portugal will be between two of the closest local rivals, Armindo Araujo and Bruno Magalhaes. While the two have competed against each other numerous times in the Portuguese national championship, this will be only the third time the pair have gone head to head on Portugal?s flagship rally, this year forming part of the FIA World Rally Championship.
