    Top 10 most spectacular crashes WRC

    Tommi Makinen’s roll from Rally Argentina 2002 has been rated the WRC’s most spectacular crash after a month-long vote.

    Since the WRC poll started on 5 April, the 20 shortlisted video clips have been rated more than 110,000 times, with the Finn’s high-speed tumble consistently scoring highest.
    With a final average score of 8.43 from a maximum ‘spectacular’ rating of 10, the Subaru driver finished just ahead of another South American smash - Markko Martin’s from 2004 - which scored 8.27.
    Petter Solberg’s 2004 clash with the concrete blocks of Rally Deutschland was rated third with an average score of 7.92.
    Here’s the final top ten (with average scores in brackets):

    3. Petter Solberg, Rally Deutschland 2004. (7.92)

    7. Colin McRae, Wales Rally GB 2001. (7.04)
    8. Andreas Mikklesen, Wales Rally GB 2007. (6.97)
    9. Colin McRae, Tour de Corse 2000. (6.93)
    10. Guy Wilks, Rally de Espana 2005. (6.91)

    I guess thhe list is more or less right except I expected the Colin McRae, Wales crash to be in the top 5.

    I can see why his high speed 'tumble' scored the highest. I didn't actually see the event but after seeing that i'm suprised he is still driving!

    I think the list is pretty much right on! I don't see any other way to number it either!

    i think that this list is right cuz i also feel that tommi makinen rally argetina is WRC's most spectacular crash.but i think Colin McRae, Wales Rally GB 2001 should be at no. 5 position.

    the list is not exactly what i think but its quite right as i expected.i want Francois Delecour would be on no. 5 and Florian Niegel would be on no. 7 because francois's crash was more danger and also spectacular than florian.

    I guess accidents do happen in motorsports as the drivers race at their life risk and crashes are part of these races.

    Ya i agree with you allout accidents can occur without giving any warning and many drivers lose their lives in it...

    Accidents are alarms that wan the drive to be watchful during his career.
    These are very breath taking car crashes & their car looks completely damaged.
    Car crashes may even disturb the whole system of the vehicles in the city.

    Would be easier if there was a video link with each crash. Can't find most of them on youtube.
