    2008 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona

    Im suprised there hasnt been a thread opened up about this race. It starts this Saturday, Jan. 26th at 1:30pm and goes thru Sunday, Jan 27th at 1:30pm.

    Anyone going to this ? Im not sure if Speed Tv is carrying any of it or not.

    What kind of rides they are using in this race? Rolex watches?

    I've never heard of this event before.

    2008 WRF Prediction League Runner-up

    FLA sounds nice to me! I'm sick of the dreary cold

    I've seen it on SPEED before, but I don't know if it's televised even close to the actual event

    I suppose if we weren't so lazy, one of us could look it up on the programming schedule

    I havent found anything about the broadcast yet.

    Be nice to see some new "live" racing again though.

    They race different styles of cars...DP (Daytona Prototype) type and GT (Grand Touring) type.

    Saturday at 2:30pm for part one and 6am for part 2. All live.

    I don't know what time zone they are referring to though

    Consult your local listings as the weekend approaches. It's worth a watch

    Oh, how I hate those big 24h type races!!!

    Well... only in the sense of having to add the results for Driverdb. 50 or so cars times three or so drivers all separated in different classes equals several hours of tedious work.

    Never heard of the 24 Hours at Daytona? It's certainly one of the most prestigious endurance races around.
