Thread: STCC First Official Tests

The season has kicked off! The first official tests took place today at Sturup Raceway. 13 cars on track, some cars are still not ready for testing (The Volvos and the new Peugeot), and some drivers have apparently still not finalized their 2008 race budget.

The new Honda of Thed Bj?rk that the guys down in Italy at JAS Engineering built for Honda Motorsport Sweden seems to be pretty quick, clocking below the current lap record.

Also good to see that Mattias Andersson's new old Alfa Romeo is up to speed. He bought the car of N.Technology and James Thompson raced it to third in the totals of last years WTCC.

The engine of Roger Eriksson's SEAT expired after running just 100 km. It has now been sent back to the manufacturer to see what was wrong with it.

Volvo are not coming to the tests but are runnning on their own test track at the Volvo factory.

Russian driver Andrey Smetsky, who will be driving a Honda Accord in WTCC this year, was out driving one of KMS' old Audi A4's.
