Thread: Britcar 24Hr - Silverstone Sept 20/21 2008

Not strictly sportcar (only) but many Moslers, Vipers, TVRs, Porsches, Astons etc. We were in a Honda Civic, finished 22nd overal with no 4th gear for the last 12.5 hrs and 3 longish stops with fuel issues.

Anyway, posted here as I have just posted an onboard up on Youtube and you guys liked my Nurb 24Hr crash vid.

No crashes for me but big one off the start TVR+Ginetta. Loads of clips of it on Youtube but not keen on watching, TVR guy is pretty bashed up and a personal friend.

It's just a short clip (more will follow) of the first 10 mins of actual racing, track covered in oil from McInerney Mosler which kindly laced each corner with oil on the racing line, this added about 15 mins more the the SC period.

You can see the cement dust, I have a decent run and am keeping with the Prosport, then the leaders catch up and go by.

Maxx, what is the latest with the driver of the TVR?

Like you say not good viewing, it all unfolded in front of us the TVR coming to rest just opposite where we were standing.

I've looked all over and cannot find anything that says how he is doing.

Sorry, I missed this reply, only just spotted it. Hopefully you have found some info by now. As I said on my video comments, I know Andy and have receive odd bits of info from fellow friends but there is a thread below where his family post regular updates. Latest is that he has now undergone an operation on his broekn neck and things are looking promising.
