Hi everyone:
I'm new here and I have a serious question for you all. I LOVE road racing, like the American Le Mans, and it is my dream to race professionally one day. Im 21 right now with no racing experience yet my time is extremely limited (I'm a pre-med student in college, starting medical school soon). My inspiration came from my love of cars and racing first and foremost but I know of a neurosurgeon who races in the Le Mans series, and owns his own cars and company. His name is Jim Lowe of JLowe Racingif u guys have heard of him. My questions are this: When do I start and where do I start if this is something I want to get into? I've gotten mixed responses on this from acutal racecar drivers, a few tell me to start now, others have told me to waint until I get my career going, which won't be for another 10 years. I dont mind age as this has been my dream for so long, but I've always put school ahead of this and I am unsure of where and when to start. Any info and help you guys can give me is much appreciated. Thanks!
