    Defeating Spam

I find it strange that many mods are online, but they do nothing about trolls. But a small regulations break by the full time members are quickly edited without a notice.

The mods that are on aren't mods for these post so we aren't able to do anything about it.

The admin should set the ban switch to "on" for all mods. This week was a fiesta for trolls. It's really annoying to click "New Posts" to see dozens of disturbing posts that stay for days, when something is done, it is only an edit to the post but the trolls stay as members to troll again within few months.

    Thank you,

    Thank you,
I assure you, that is definitely NOT the case. Spam rarely stays on for more than a couple of hours. And Spammers DO in fact get banned.

EIR Text messaged me while I was out on the lake Flyfishing (hey I need a life too) and I got here within the hour to get rid of it all.

Other than that, I don't know what you're getting at

I just assumed that all mods have the ability to ban and delete posts like in most forums. I don't think a mod needs the grand master permission to delete a porn spam and delete the user. I understand that one or two admins are not around 24/7, that's why we have mods from different time zones.

I saw many spams that stays for days but they were about mobile phones, and the members profile were still online when I checked them few months later. I don't know how a banned member profile would look like. Some forum delete the profile, and some keep them with user title as banned.

I wasn't that bothered with the business spams, and I don't think the administration welcomes suggestion and tell them what to do. So, I kept it to myself, but porn spams that stayed for five hours is really something disturbing.

    Thank you,

We always welcome suggestions, you know that Fahad. I do apologize for these offensive posts and assure you that the SPAM fighting mechanism is being reviewed. Please bear with us for a few more days for the changes to take effect

Great Jo, I hope you understand my concern. It's only because I think this is the best general motorsport forum. I hope we keep it improving.

    Thank you,
