Download a Full DVD Movie in a Single Second!

IBM has presented a new technology it expects to reach mainstream consumers by 2010. The new optical transceiver chipset will allow users to download information eight times faster than current technology allows

This means that instead of waiting 30 minutes to download a full movie, it would only take a single second

    That's pretty cool stuff.

It takes me longer than 30 minutes to download a movie though!

Usually in the range of a couple of hours.

Lap of the Gods took three full days and then a week later my hardrive crashed.

What is? That it takes me 3-4 days or that it may only take 30 minutes in the future

You work for IBM and have a prototype!?

I guess you could but the quality would be so poor you would have trouble seeing anything
