The iphone is a neat phone but if you had service to every feature it has on it, your monthly phone bill alone would be well over $100 dollars a month. Crazy!

They require you to have an unlimited data plan here in the US.

I don't think you can. Apple likes to get you to use the apple care warranty plans. You may have to send it in if you batt. is dead.

You can get a do-it-yourself kit for around $25, but it requires the use of a soldering iron, pry-tool, and scissors. So it's not Nokia style plug-and-go. If it goes wrong you're phone will be ruined, so it's probably better to go to a service center

I read where the battery of the iphone is soldered to the motherboard. What kind of crap is that ??

As expensive as they are, you should be able to replace the battery very easily and at a reasonable cost.

Thats Apple philosophy! I laughed my azz of when one girl I know said that Mac's are more userfriendly than PC's, but she couldn't answer me in which way when I asked.

And then I suggested that maybe if we change the word 'userfriendly' to 'cool looks' ...

the problem with my battery is that it gets drained in like 6 hours, while being used for like 20 mins.

obviously customer support here in Egypt is rather limited, and the warranty is not of much use.

Since Apple is a high quality company, you would think they would make better battery features in thier product.

I don't know that they are so much know as high quality in terms of materials. All of the ipods have had tremendous batt. problems and screen problems. The ipone is no different. Once apple gets it figured out that they can run a solid state drive they won't need hardly any battery at all. You can buy 16gb SD cards the size of stamps. Why couldn't apple use a few of those inside and ipod?? You could get about 4-6 in there without stacking them (that's 96gb!!) Same goes for the iphone. You'd need embedded chips to process the data but that's not hard to do.

All of that would HELP (maybe not solve) the battery problems. (You don't have to power up and spin the HD AND you don't risk an impact damaging the HD as well.)
