    Configuring Your Vehicle

Have you tried configuring your car? This is not just to make the vehicle faster but also the looks of it. Did you try doing it on your own or hire someone to do it for you?

I just watched Monster Garage and I was thinking of things that I could do with my civic. But I'm afraid that I might damage it rather than enhance it.

I have an old Civic, but I've not done anything to enhance the appearance, other than some major body work about 10 years ago now.

I'd like to get some seat covers to hide the rips in the upholstery. I'm gaining more respect for that car every month I go without a car repair bill.

That is why I made it my nickname here because I'm proud of it.

The only major configuring I made with my car is the repaint. I just wanted to have a new color for the previous paint looks old already.

My current car is more of a family car than anything else, no modding done here. Now I have thought about some of the kits for a later year Mustang, but that is a good bit off. I would rather not have exactly what others can get, so I would want something custom.

I've changed the rims, signal lights, seats, and sound system in my last car, and it was so much fun to have those little projects to show off to friends later.

I had an old Firebird that I did some definite reconfiguring to. It was more out of necessity than anything else. We were in a major accident and I just went to the junk yard to get body repair parts that would fit. Wish I had some pictures because it definitely turned out to be a unique car but me and my friends sure had fun doing it.

I haven't changed anything yet, but I would love to install a sound system. My current one just died on the passenger side and it makes me a little sad every time I listen to the radio.

I want to put a sound system in my next car.

I don't need to shake anybody's windows but I'd love to be able to play a few CDs on the long trips.

    And maybe a GPS.

I haven't done any major changes other than replacing almost every part my vehicle has and of course that wasn't by choice. I wouldn't mind a new stereo either. My passenger side speaker doesn't work either.

You know before everything was computerized in cars I used to love to work on them, now I wouldn't even begin to know what to do! My dad does bodywork on cars and I help him when I visit him but I wouldn't do it by myself.
