We don't get too much of this in Sweden.

I bet his heart was racing a bit there when he realised going up on the track was a bad idea.

Really close call, like he was jumping an obstacle course . You sure you don't have Snow Kangaroos in Sweden, one of those 'rarely' seen ones?

Well.... there are rumours of a kangaroo that escaped a zoo some years ago. It gets some "sightings" (in the Yeti, kind of way I guess) every year, but it has so far stayed off race tracks.

I think the one your talking about is the one that jumped out in front of Ellery in the Supercheap Falcon. From memory he was coming down the Esses.

Not the first time a Roo has joined the racing at Bathurst, a couple of years back Jim Richards race was ended by one when he hit it square on.

And animals have had impacts in racing before like in F1 with deer in Austria and of course in WRC when Carlos Sainz destroyed a sheep and did a fair amount of damage to his car back when he was running for Ford down here in NZ.

With Bathurst about to start them Roo's will be there trying to slow the cars down again.

That's one lucky kangaroo. I felt he was going to be hit by at least one car. Kudos to all the drivers there for saving the animal.

@ monaroCountry, that was sad. Did'nt look that bad from the cockpit view. RIP, poor kangaroo.

shocking to see such a thing..people who might be watching this directly would have had an experience of a life time and especially the driver of the car must have had his heart in his mouth..
