There were quite a few throughout Formula 1 history. Of course the most known recent example of an 'extreme' wet race is the Grand Prix of Belgium in 1998. The whole field was involved in a massive accident that required a (obviously) a restart and is considered to be the most costly start in the history of the sport.
An even more extreme example is the non-championship F1 race, International Trophy, that took place in Silverstone in 1973. It actually snowed during the race![]()
