    Well done.

    Although the last answer is not correct. 8 GP's were run at Long Beach. 1983 was the last time at Long Beach, but there is something else that I'm looking for.

    What made this race memorable, at least to my knowledge, is that McLaren drivers John Watson and Niki Lauda, having had a tough time in qualifying, fought from positions 22 and 23 on the grid to finish first and second

    Correct you are Jo.

    22 on the grid is the farthest back a driver has come to win the race. And John Watson did it on a street circuit.
