    Victory Debut for Countries in F1

    With Robert Kubica victory on the 2008 canadian grand prix another country had a first victory in F1

    Here are the other debut wins per country :

    Italy : Giuseppe Farina, 1950 British grand prix

    Argentina: Juan Manuel Fangio, 1950 Monaco grand prix

    Great Britain: Mike Hawthorn, 1953 French grand prix

    France: Maurice Trintignant, 1955 Monaco grand prix

    Australia: Jack Brabham, 1959 Monaco grand prix

    Sweden: Jo Bonnier, 1959 Dutch grand prix

    New Zealand: Bruce McLaren, 1959 United States grand prix

    USA: Phil Hill, 1960 Italian Grand prix

    Interesting thread.

    I found it interesting that it took until 2003 for a Spaniard to win a race, and that Portugal has not produced a winner at all.

    EDIT: And in a way this ties into my last History Mystery Case. *hint*hint*

    WoW, that's it?! I would have thought many others countries had a representative in that list . Especially Japan
