New record set on salt flats

A Utah guy set the new land speed record for a piston engine last weekend. Here's a link to the article.

Simply amazing. 415 Miles per hour on a car without jet propelled engines. A simply amazing feat, I wonder if the video will surface on youtube, I'd love to see it. The interesting fact is that this car was nearly 30 years in the making, starting in the 1980's.

YouTube - Burkland 415 MPH Land Speed Record Sept 2008

as if by magic here's a link. pretty bloody quick i'd say. Its difficult to get a perspective of the speed when you see these on the desert but they got the camera angle sussed on this one

415 miles per hour is that speed which one cannot imagine to reach without jet propelled engines even in his dreams but this miracle has done by an Utah guy.even a single mistake at that speed could easily killed him but luckily he didn't and has set a record.but i think that its not a world record.is it?

Well i agree with you that it is not a world record since the world record's driver speed is much more than this one...
