There are lots of youngsters coming through the ranks in the support races in BTCC, some very talented female drivers coming through. Let's not just look at F1, IRL, etc.

Put very simplyl, female drivers have an overall disadvantage due to the fact they are female and many people are biased on the matter. There are women with shocking talent that go unseen because there are some who are blind. Danica has amazing talent and skill comparable to many men I have watched race.

I have seen both Danica Patrick and Sarah Fisher compete before. In fact, one year the both competed in Indianapolis and I got to see them compete against each other.

Stewartfan, did you think that one or the other was better? I would love to be at a race that had more women at it. Or even watch a race on tv with multiple female drivers.

I will go for Danica Patrick. Despite her tons of off-circuit activities like steamy TV commercials and swimsuit shoots which earn her nice money, she still performs very well on the circuit.

Right now there are no women drivers in Sprint or Nationwide as in the past but in the truck series there is Gabi Dicarlo, Michelle Theriault, Caitlin Shaw and Jennifer Jo Cobb. They don't have full time rides though. I would love to see a woman driver in Nascar.

Good for her! It is great that Danica Patrick could live her dream of being a race car driver and still do the feminine activities like being a swimsuit model. She is a strong person to work in a man's world. I am sure she had to overcome a lot before she got where she is today.

I don't understand why there aren't more women out there like Danica. I think a lot of it is racing has always been a man's sport and a lot of women can get intimidated by that. If I would have had the opportunity to race when I was young I would have jumped at the chance!

A good wife is quick like a ninja, you will never see them coming or going.

Honestly though I see the point in this and why it tends to be so picky sometimes depending on any sport for the ladies and gents. Those ladies who you did race with back in the day I am curious, do you have any idea what became of them?

Nope, we moved out of province for a number of years and I lost track with most of the former members of the Sports Car Club, besides I don't think that my wife would be to crazy about me keeping in touch with former girlfriends

I went to Gimli Motorsport Park about 7 years ago during a race meet and bumped into a few old members and a couple of guys I used to race with where still at it.
